The Lions now sport a 14-3 record. They take the field next when they host Sonoraville for a 4A Region 7 match on Tuesday, September 20. Central will face a Phoenix squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Cedartown (Cedartown, GA). The Phoenix record now stands at 5-9.

With the loss, Newnan falls to 10-6 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Douglas County (Douglasville, GA) to face the Tigers in a 6A Region 5 match on Tuesday, September 20. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 7-7. Douglas County won 24-17 in their recent non-league match against Lithia Springs (Lithia Springs, GA)
