Jones County Greyhounds (Gray, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Pike County Pirates (Zebulon, GA), 12-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Greyhounds now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pike County for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 21. Jones County will face a Pirates squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Peach County (Fort Valley, GA). The Pirates record now stands at 11-8.

With the loss, Pike County falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Peach County (Fort Valley, GA) to face the Trojans in a 3A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, September 20. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 5-7. Peach County lost 14-3 in their recent league challenge against Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA)
