With the win, Giles upgrades its record to 9-2 on the year. The Spartans travel to Galax (Galax, VA) to play the Maroon Tide in a Mountain Empire bout on Wednesday, September 21. The Maroon Tide go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Galax won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA)

The Eagles now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Glenvar for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 21. Auburn will play a Highlanders squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Giles (Pearisburg, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 7-0.
