With the win, Phillips upgrades its record to 5-6 on the year. The Bears travel to Belgreen (Russellville, AL) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A Area 14 bout on Tuesday, September 20. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Belgreen won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Hackleburg (Hackleburg, AL)

The Flame now own a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Covenant Christian for a 1A Area 16 bout on Tuesday, September 20. Shoals Christian will play a Eagles squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Loretto (Loretto, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 2-8.
