In Monday's non-league battle, the visiting Seymour Eagles volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Sevier County Smoky Bears.

The Eagles (20-10) will now prepare for their battle against Carter (Strawberry Plains, TN). The Green Hornets come into the AA District 4 battle with a 7-8 record. In their last battle, Carter nudged Knoxville Central (Knoxville, TN), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Smoky Bears clash with the King's Academy Lions (Seymour, TN) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 20. Sevier County will attempt to advance on its 2-11 season record. The Lions come into the battle with a 0-8 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Knoxville Christian (Knoxville, TN).
