The Heritage Hurricanes volleyball team (Newport News, VA), was nudged 3-2 in Tuesday's league challenge with the host Kecoughtan Warriors (Hampton, VA)

The Warriors (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Gloucester (Gloucester, VA). The Dukes enter the Peninsula challenge with a 9-0 record. In their last challenge, Gloucester got by Woodside (Newport News, VA), 3-2, in a league bout.

The Hurricanes now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Menchville for a Peninsula bout on Thursday, September 21. Heritage will play a Monarchs squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Denbigh (Newport News, VA). The Monarchs record now stands at 6-3.
