North Carolina High School Volleyball - Owen over Avery County

Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) backers left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC), 2-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Warhorses battle the Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 21. Owen will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Patriots come into the match with a 4-7 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC).

With the loss, Avery County drops to 7-5 on the campaign. The Vikings host Mitchell (Bakersville, NC) to battle the Mountaineers in a match on Thursday, September 21. The Mountaineers come into the match with a record of 0-7. Mitchell lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Rosman (Rosman, NC)
