The Highlanders (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Cougars enter the non-league challenge with a 10-0 record. In their last challenge, Alleghany nipped Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Buffaloes encounter the Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 25. Floyd County will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to James River (Buchanan, VA).
