Next up, the Griffins battle the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, September 20. Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Nighthawks come into the contest with a 6-3 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC).

With the loss, Gates County drops to 0-6 on the campaign. The Red barons travel to Riverside-Martin (Williamston, NC) to face the Knights in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 26. The Knights go into the outing with a record of 5-3.
