Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), 9-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Screaming Eagle confront the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge, on Wednesday, September 20. Ashley will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 1-0 league win over North Brunswick (Leland, NC).

The Cougars now possess a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Brunswick for a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Thursday, September 21. South Brunswick will confront a Scorpions team coming off a 1-0 league loss to West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 5-5.
