In Tuesday's league battle, the host PikeView Panthers soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the James Monroe Mavericks.

The Panthers (9-2) will now prepare for their battle against Bluefield (Bluefield, WV). The Beavers come into the Coalfield AA battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Bluefield was nudged by Mercer Christian Academy (Princeton, WV), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
