Saranac Chiefs (Saranac, NY) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY), 2-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Chiefs confront the Northeastern Clinton Cougars (Champlain, NY) in a Northern challenge, on Thursday, September 21. Saranac will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 12-0 league win over AuSable Valley (Clintonville, NY).
The Nighthawks now possess a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Beekmantown for a Northern challenge on Thursday, September 21. Peru will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 league win over Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 2-2.
