Hillsboro Hawks (Hillsboro, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host DeSoto Dragons (DeSoto, MO), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 18-2 record. They take the field next when they host North County for a Class 3 District 2 challenge on Wednesday, September 20. Hillsboro will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Perryville (Perryville, MO). The Raiders record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, DeSoto falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Windsor (Imperial, MO) to battle the Owls in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 20. The Owls enter the challenge with a record of 9-7. Windsor won 16-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Herculaneum (Herculaneum, MO)
