Kell Longhorns (Marietta, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting North Springs Spartans (Atlanta, GA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Longhorns now own a 16-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northview for a 5A Region 6 challenge on Thursday, September 21. Kell will battle a Titans squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Meadowcreek (Norcross, GA). The Titans record now stands at 5-13.

With the loss, North Springs falls to 7-10 on the campaign. The Spartans host Centennial (Roswell, GA) to battle the Knights in a 5A Region 6 game on Thursday, September 21. The Knights come into the game with a record of 7-13. Centennial lost 12-8 in their recent non-league game against Westminster (Atlanta, GA)
