The Piedmont Highlanders topped the host Alameda Hornets volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Tuesday's league test.

The Highlanders now have a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Head-Royce for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 20. Piedmont will confront a Jayhawks team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Lick-Wilmerding (San Francisco, CA). The Jayhawks record now stands at 15-3.

The Hornets (5-9) will now prepare for their game against Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA). The Dragons enter the West Alameda County - Foothill game with a 3-11 record. In their last game, Bishop O'Dowd dropped by Encinal (Alameda, CA), 3-2, in a league game.
