The Newport Greyhounds volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Bald Knob Bulldogs to 0 in the Greyhounds league victory on Tuesday.

The Greyhounds now possess a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harrisburg for a 3A Northeast game on Thursday, September 21. Newport will meet a Hornets team coming off a 3-1 league win over Cave City (Cave City, AR). The Hornets record now stands at 5-8.

The Bulldogs (0-12) will now prepare for their game against Piggott (Piggott, AR). The Mohawks enter the 3A Northeast game with a 3-8 record. In their last game, Piggott was dropped by Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR), 3-2, in a league game.
