Illinois High School Volleyball - Mendota can't hold off Bureau Valley

September 19, 2023: Manlius, IL 61338

In Tuesday's league battle, the host Bureau Valley Storm volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Mendota Trojans.

The Storm (8-9) will now prepare for their battle against Hall (Spring Valley, IL). The Red Devils come into the Three Rivers battle with a 7-9 record. In their last battle, Hall nudged Midland (Varna, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Trojans encounter the Kewanee Boilermakers (Kewanee, IL) in a Three Rivers battle, on Wednesday, September 20. Mendota will attempt to advance on its 5-6 season record. The Boilermakers come into the battle with a 5-10 record after their 2-0 league loss to Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL).
