The East Marion Eagles volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Columbia Wildcats to 0 in the Eagles non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Eagles now possess a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Salem for a Class 1 Region 8 game on Thursday, September 21. East Marion will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Resurrection Catholic (Pascagoula, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 13-8.
The Wildcats (7-11) will now prepare for their game against Sumrall (Sumrall, MS). The Bobcats enter the Class 4 Region 7 game with a 11-7 record. In their last game, Sumrall defeated Lawrence County (Monticello, MS), 3-1, in a league game.
