The Santa Maria Cougars volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host La Villa Cardinals to 1 in the Cougars league victory on Tuesday.

The Cougars now have a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host San Perlita for a non-league game on Saturday, September 23. Santa Maria will meet a Trojans team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Economedes (Edinburg, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 4-7.

The Cardinals (1-5) will now prepare for their game against Kaufer (Riviera, TX). The Seahawks enter the 2A Region IV District 32 game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Kaufer dropped by Santa Maria (Santa Maria, TX), 3-0, in a league game.
