The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) and the host Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA), saw Steele Canyon's volleyball squad beat Monte Vista by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Steele Canyon upgrades its record to 15-8 on the year. The Cougars host Grossmont (El Cajon, CA) to play the Foothillers in a Grossmont Valley bout on Thursday, September 21. The Foothillers go into the bout with a record of 6-8.

The Monarchs now own a 1-11 record. They play next when they travel to Mount Miguel for a Grossmont Valley bout on Thursday, September 21. Monte Vista will play a Matadors squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Southwest SD (San Diego, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 2-7.
