The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the West Harrison Hurricanes (Gulfport, MS) and the host Picayune Maroon Tide (Picayune, MS), saw West Harrison's volleyball squad beat Picayune by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, West Harrison upgrades its record to 13-8 on the year. The Hurricanes host Hancock (Kiln, MS) to play the Hawks in a bout on Thursday, September 21. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 19-6. Hancock won 3-1 in their recent league bout against George County (Lucedale, MS)

The Maroon Tide now own a 2-19 record. They play next when they travel to Long Beach for a Class 5 Region 7 bout on Thursday, September 21. Picayune will play a Bearcats squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Pascagoula (Pascagoula, MS). The Bearcats record now stands at 10-6.
