In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Wake Forest Cougars volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Wakefield Wolverines.

The Cougars (10-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Heritage (Wake Forest, NC). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 9-0 record. In their last challenge, Heritage edged Knightdale (Knightdale, NC), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Wolverines meet the Millbrook Wildcats (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 24. Wakefield will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Rolesville (Rolesville, NC).
