James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Bluefield Beavers (Bluefield, WV), 2-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, James Monroe advances its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Nicholas County (Summersville, WV) to clash with the Grizzlies in a Coalfield AA test on Tuesday, September 24. The Grizzlies come into the test with a record of 4-4. Nicholas County 2-2 in their recent non-league test against Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV)

The Beavers now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host PikeView for a Coalfield AA test on Tuesday, September 24. Bluefield will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 1-1 non-league Princeton (Princeton, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 0-6.
