In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Spruce Creek Hawks football squad scored a good 14-6 triumph over the Mainland Buccaneers.
The Hawks (4-0) will now prepare for their match against DeLand (DeLand, FL). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, DeLand defeated University (Orange City, FL), 38-12, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Buccaneers meet the Pine Ridge Panthers (Deltona, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 27. Mainland will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 28-0 non-league loss to University (Orange City, FL).
