The Chesterton Trojans edged the host La Porte Slicers volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Thursday's league game.

Next up, the Trojans confront the Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN) in a game, on Tuesday, September 24. Chesterton will attempt to advance on its 14-4 season record. The Indians go into the game with a 12-3 record after their 2-0 league win over Valparaiso (Valparaiso, IN).

The Slicers (0-6) will now prepare for their game against Crown Point (Crown Point, IN). The Bulldogs go into the game with a 13-3 record. In their last game, Crown Point nudged Merrillville (Merrillville, IN), 2-0, in a league game.
