East Columbus Gators (Lake Waccamaw, NC) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host West Columbus Vikings (Cerro Gordo, NC), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, East Columbus advances its record to 3-5 on the season. The Gators host Pender (Burgaw, NC) to face the Patriots in a test on Tuesday, September 24. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 5-8.

The Vikings now sport a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pender for a test on Monday, September 23. West Columbus will face a Patriots squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 5-8.
