Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC), 9-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Holmes moves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Aces host Cape Hatteras (Buxton, NC) to meet the Hurricanes in a non-league test on Monday, September 23. The Hurricanes come into the test with a record of 3-5. Cape Hatteras lost 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Gates County (Gatesville, NC)

The Eagles now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they host Camden County for a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A test on Wednesday, September 25.
