The Black Knights (3-8) will now prepare for their outing against Montgomery Central (Troy, NC). The Timberwolves enter the Mid-Piedmont 3A outing with a 4-4 record. In their last outing, Montgomery Central tipped Union Pines (Cameron, NC), 4-1, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Granite Bears confront the North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) in a Northwest 1A outing, on Monday, September 23. Mount Airy will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Vikings enter the outing with a 0-7 record after their 7-1 league loss to Starmount (Boonville, NC).
