Fans at Thursday's league battle between the West Scranton Invaders (Scranton, PA) and the visiting Western Wayne Wildcats (Lake Ariel, PA), saw West Scranton's soccer squad hold off Western Wayne by a count of 3-2.

The Invaders (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Lakeland (Jermyn, PA). The Chiefs enter the Lackawanna - Division II battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Lakeland was edged by Dunmore (Dunmore, PA), 4-3, in a league battle.

Next up, the Wildcats battle the Mid Valley Spartans (Throop, PA) in a Lackawanna - Division II battle, on Thursday, September 26. Western Wayne will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
