The Crisp County Cougars edged the visiting Tattnall County Warriors softball squad by a count of 8-7 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Cougars meet the Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) in a 2A Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, September 24. Crisp County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Pirates enter the challenge with a 14-1 record after their 5-0 league win over Pierce County (Blackshear, GA).
The Warriors (2-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Appling County (Baxley, GA). The Pirates enter the 2A Region 3 challenge with a 14-1 record. In their last challenge, Appling County edged Pierce County (Blackshear, GA), 5-0, in a league challenge.
