In Thursday's league match, the host Halfway Cardinals softball team scored a nice 13-3 win over the Fair Play Hornets.

The Cardinals (9-4) will now prepare for their match against Wheatland (Wheatland, MO). The Mules come into the non-league match with a 12-3 record. In their last match, Wheatland notched a victory over Macks Creek (Macks Creek, MO), 10-9, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Walnut Grove Tigers (Walnut Grove, MO) in a Class 1 District 3 match, on Monday, September 23. Fair Play will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 6-7 record after their 3-2 non-league win over New Covenant Academy (Springfield, MO).
