The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Hershey Panthers (Hershey, NE) and the visiting Southern Valley/Alma (Oxford, NE), observed Hershey's softball team get by Southern Valley/Alma by a tally of 3-2.

The Panthers (6-11) will now prepare for their bout against Lexington (Lexington, NE). The Minutemen go into the non-league bout with a 1-17 record. In their last bout, Lexington was nipped by Cozad (Cozad, NE), 17-6, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the clash with the Ord Chanticleers (Ord, NE) in a C District bout, on Monday, September 23. Southern Valley/Alma will attempt to advance on its 12-7 season record. The Chanticleers go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 7-4 non-league loss to Pierce (Pierce, NE).
