The South Paulding Spartans triumphed over the host Lithia Springs Lions softball squad by a count of 11-0 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Spartans meet the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs (Kennesaw, GA) in a 5A Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, October 1. South Paulding will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 8-14 record after their 11-3 league loss to Villa Rica (Villa Rica, GA).
The Lions (1-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Villa Rica (Villa Rica, GA). The Wildcats enter the 5A Region 5 challenge with a 9-9 record. In their last challenge, Villa Rica overcame Kennesaw Mountain (Kennesaw, GA), 11-3, in a league challenge.
