Taylor County Vikings (Butler, GA) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Schley County Wildcats (Ellaville, GA), 7-4 in a league game.

With the triumph, Taylor County improves its record to 15-6 on the year. The Vikings host Crawford County (Roberta, GA) to face the Eagles in a 1A D-II Region 6 contest on Tuesday, September 24. The Eagles enter the contest with a record of 7-10.

The Wildcats now hold a 7-10 record. They play next when they travel to Manchester for a non-league contest on Monday, September 23. Schley County will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Trion (Trion, GA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-16.
