In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Callaway Chargers volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Vicksburg Gators.

The Chargers (10-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS). The Rockets come into the Class 6A Region 2 challenge with a 16-3 record.

Next, the Gators meet the Ridgeland Titans (Ridgeland, MS) in a Class 6A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, October 1. Vicksburg will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record.
