In Thursday's league challenge, the host Canton Tigers volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Clarksdale Wildcats.

The Tigers (11-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Cleveland Central (Cleveland, MS). The Wolves enter the Class 5A Region 2 challenge with a 5-9 record. In their last challenge, Cleveland Central got by Yazoo City (Yazoo City, MS), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Rosa Fort Lions (Tunica, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 24. Clarksdale will attempt to upgrade on its 11-3 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 3-0 league loss to Kossuth (Kossuth, MS).
