Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) and the host Castlewood Blue Devils (Castlewood, VA), observed Rye Cove's volleyball team top Castlewood by a count of 3-1.

The Eagles (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Eastside (Coeburn, VA). The Spartans enter the Cumberland contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Eastside was knocked off by J.I. Burton (Norton, VA), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Blue Devils meet the Holston Cavaliers (Damascus, VA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 23. Castlewood will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Cavaliers enter the contest with a 2-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Lebanon (Lebanon, VA).
