Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Elgin Huskies (Elgin, OR) and the visiting Riverside Pirates (Boardman, OR), observed Elgin's volleyball team top Riverside by a count of 3-0.

The Huskies (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR). The Spartans enter the 1A Old Oregon contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Pine Eagle notched a victory over Wallowa (Wallowa, OR), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Pirates battle the Condon Blue Devils (Condon, OR) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 24. Riverside will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Blue Devils enter the contest with a 0-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler (Mitchell, OR).
