Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Griswold Grizzlies (Helix, OR) and the visiting Nixyaawii Community Eagles (Pendleton, OR), observed Griswold's volleyball team top Nixyaawii Community by a tally of 3-0.

The Grizzlies (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Imbler (Imbler, OR). The Panthers enter the 1A Old Oregon contest with a 11-5 record. In their last contest, Imbler beat Adrian (Adrian, OR), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Eagles meet the Echo Cougars (Echo, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon contest, on Friday, September 20. Nixyaawii Community will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 2-4 record after their 3-2 league win over Cove (Cove, OR).
