In Thursday's league match, the James Wood Colonels (Winchester, VA) volleyball squad prevailed the visiting Handley Judges (Winchester, VA), by a final score of 3-1.

Next up, the Colonels confront the Liberty Eagles (Bealeton, VA) in a Northwestern match, on Monday, September 23. James Wood will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 1-7 record after their 3-2 league loss to Fauquier (Warrenton, VA).

The Judges (3-5) will now prepare for their match against Clarke County (Berryville, VA). The Eagles enter the non-league match with a 7-2 record. In their last match, Clarke County gained a win over Strasburg (Strasburg, VA), 3-0, in a league match.
