Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) and the visiting West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS), observed Lafayette's volleyball team top West Point by a count of 3-0.

The Commodores (18-10) will now prepare for their contest against New Hope (Columbus, MS). The Trojans enter the Class 5A Region 1 contest with a 13-17 record.

Next, the Green Wave meet the Columbus Falcons (Columbus, MS) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 23. West Point will attempt to move on its 2-9 season record. The Falcons enter the contest with a 9-12 record after their 3-0 league loss to Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS).
