The Varnado Wildcats volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Lutheran Gryphons to 1 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Wildcats now have a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Abramson for a non-league outing on Friday, September 20. Varnado will play a Commodores team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Bogalusa (Bogalusa, LA). The Commodores record now stands at 5-0.

With the loss, Lutheran drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Gryphons host Crescent City Christian (Metairie, LA) to play the Pioneers in a Division V District 8 outing on Tuesday, September 24. The Pioneers come into the outing with a record of 4-3. Crescent City Christian won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Cabrini (New Orleans, LA)
