Morton Panthers (Morton, MS) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Quitman Panthers (Quitman, MS), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, Morton advances its record to 9-6 on the season. The Panthers travel to Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS) to face the Tigers in a Class 4A Region 5 test on Tuesday, September 24. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 10-7.

The Panthers now sport a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Meridian for a non-league test on Monday, September 23. Quitman will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-11.
