The Weldon Chargers edged the host North Edgecombe Warriors volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Thursday's league game.

Next up, the Chargers face the Warren County Eagles (Warrenton, NC) in a Tar Roanoke 1A game, on Tuesday, September 24. Weldon will attempt to advance on its 9-0 season record. The Eagles go into the game with a 4-4 record after their 3-0 league win over KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC).

The Warriors (9-4) will now prepare for their game against Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC). The Tigers go into the Tar Roanoke 1A game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, Wilson Prep nudged Northampton County (Gaston, NC), 3-1, in a league game.
