In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Whitley County Colonels volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the South Laurel Cardinals.
The Colonels (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against North Laurel (London, KY). The Jaguars enter the non-league challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, North Laurel was beaten by Southwestern (Somerset, KY), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Cardinals meet the Allen County-Scottsville Patriots (Scottsville, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 21. South Laurel will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 3-1 league loss to Barren County (Glasgow, KY).
