Texas High School Football - Midland Legacy winner over Abilene

September 19, 2025: Midland, TX 79707

The Midland Legacy Rebels (Midland, TX) football knocked off the visiting Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX), 42-28 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Rebels now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ruston for a non-league game on Thursday, September 25. Midland Legacy will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 38-35 non-league win over Longview (Longview, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 3-0.

The Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Caprock (Amarillo, TX). The Longhorns enter the 5A-1 Region I District 2 game with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Caprock was knocked off by Canyon (Canyon, TX), 34-28, in a non-league outing.
