In Friday's league game, the Ariton Purple Cats (Ariton, AL) football team overcame the host Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL), by a tally of 36-13.

In their next game, the Purple Cats battle the Dale County Warriors (Midland City, AL) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 26. Ariton will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Warriors enter the game with a 3-2 record after their 13-6 league win over New Brockton (New Brockton, AL).

The Rebels (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Abbeville (Abbeville, AL). The Yellowjackets go into the 2A Region 2 bout with a 1-4 record.
