Florida High School Football - Dunnellon thwarted by Vanguard

Vanguard Knights (Ocala, FL) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Dunnellon Tigers (Dunnellon, FL), 20-7 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Vanguard advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Knights host Lecanto (Lecanto, FL) to confront the Panthers in a 4A District 5 match on Friday, September 26. The Panthers come into the match with a record of 3-2. Lecanto won 49-0 in their recent non-league match against Crystal River (Crystal River, FL)

Coming up next, the Tigers confront the Eastside Rams (Gainesville, FL) in a 3A District 5 match, on Friday, September 26. Dunnellon will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Rams go into the battle with a 3-2 record after their 28-7 non-league loss to Bradford (Starke, FL).
