Pennsylvania High School Football - New Brighton overwhelmed by Riverside

The Riverside Panthers walloped the visiting New Brighton Lions football team by a score of 40-6 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Western Beaver Golden Beavers (Industry, PA) in a WPIAL AA Midwestern challenge, on Friday, September 26. Riverside will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Golden Beavers enter the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 46-14 league win over Union Area (New Castle, PA).

The Lions (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Ellwood City (Ellwood City, PA). The Wolverine enter the WPIAL AA Midwestern challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Ellwood City bounced Freedom Area (Freedom, PA), 28-14, in a league test.
