The Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC) soccer nipped the visiting Chatham Charter Knights (Siler City, NC), 2-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now hold a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bethany Community for a Northwest Piedmont 1A/2A contest on Tuesday, September 23. Cornerstone Charter will face a Wolves team coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC). The Wolves record now stands at 4-7.

The Knights (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Southern Wake Academy (Holly Springs, NC). The Lions enter the Central Tar Heel 1A contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Southern Wake Academy was nipped by Clover Garden School (Burlington, NC), 7-2, in a league contest.
